FIBC BULK BAG LOOP OPTIONS

Safely and effectively handling a filled FIBC within your manufacturing environment is critical. Material Motion can provide multiple lifting loop options and will help you to determine which option is best suited for your application to provide reliability, efficiency and safety.
Loop Options
One Loop FIBC
A one loop FIBC features a single, centrally located lifting loop that is integrated within the body of the bag. It is designed for easy lifting and handling using a single forklift tine, a center point hook or a crane hoist. The lifting loop is an extension of the FIBC body fabric.
Two Loop FIBC
A two loop FIBC features two separate, centrally located lifting loops that are integrated within the body of the bag. It is designed for easy lifting and handling using a single forklift tine, a center point hook or a crane hoist. The lifting loops are an extension of the FIBC body fabric.
Corner Lifting Loops
2” wide polypropylene or polyester webbing sewn into the corners of the FIBC on the outside of the body panels or sewn inside the vertical corner seams of the FIBC side & body panels. The lifting loops are typically 2” wide and are sewn into the seams using twin needle chain stitching.
Cross Corner Lifting Loops
2” or 3” wide webbing loops made from polypropylene or polyester are sewn across the corner of the FIBC. Cross corner loops can be sewn onto tubular FIBCs, U-Panel FIBCs and 4-Panel FIBCs. The primary lifting loops are generally positioned 5” from the corner of the FIBC and can be sewn with or without a ½ twist. Cross corner loops are attached using lock stitch sewing machines.
Auxiliary Lifting Loops
Auxiliary/secondary lifting loops are additional circular loop components that are added to the FIBC and are used in conjunction with the primary lifting loop of the FIBC.
Auxiliary webbing loops help improve the filling of the FIBC by correctly positioning the bag on the filling station, they are also used during the normal handling of the filled FIBC and provide alternate lifting options based on specific handling requirements.
Auxiliary lifting loops are manufactured from polypropylene or polyester webbing and can be produced in 2” and 3” widths.
Stevedore Harnesses
Stevedore harnesses can be added to any primary lifting loop style to provide alternate lifting options for specific handling requirements.
Stevedore webbing harnesses are generally used for a center point pick up of the filled FIBC.
Stevedore harnesses are manufactured from polypropylene or polyester webbing and can be produced in 2” and 3” widths. Braided rope is also available and can be used as an alternative to the flat woven webbing materials.
Woven Fabric Lifting Sleeves
Lifting sleeves are woven polypropylene fabric extensions of the side panels of a U-Panel or 4-Panel FIBC. The lifting sleeves are typically 10” to 12” lay-flat and are designed to allow the forklift operator to easily position the forklift tines into the sleeves when handling the filled FIBC.
Lifting sleeves are limited to 2-way entry.
